A ten-year-old boy from Texas recently confessed to killing a man when he was seven. Officials with the Nixon-Smiley Consolidated Independent School District were questioning the young boy on April 12 after he allegedly threatened to kill a student on the bus the day before.

School officials contacted the police and told officers the boy claimed he used his grandfather's gun to fatally shoot 32-year-old Brandon O'Quinn Rasberry, 32, while he was sleeping in his RV in January 2022.

The boy noted that he fired a second shot into the couch before leaving. He then returned the gun to his grandfather's truck. His grandfather later sold the gun to a pawn shop.

The boy was taken into custody and charged with making a terroristic threat in relation to the incident in which he threatened a student on the bus. In Texas, children under the age of 10 can't be legally held responsible for criminal acts, so the boy will not be charged in connection with Rasberry's murder.

The boy was taken to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation and treatment.
