Starting in January, 1250 WHNZ brings more fresh weekend audio content to your radio, phone, Amazon Echo, computer, or any other device with the iHeartRadio app. If you're not into repeats or sports talk, this is what you want your radio or other device playing on Saturdays and Sundays.
We start the weekend off with Better Lawns and Gardens. Tom MacCubbin has brought you gardening advice for a quarter century on WHNZ. But most of that time he's been on delay Sunday morning. Starting January 5th, we'll bring you Tom LIVE every Saturday morning 7 to 9 a.m. That means you'll be able to call Tom while you listen at 1-888-45-LAWNS or text to 23680.
Also Saturdays, from 3 to 6 pm, we'll bring you Leo Laporte's weekly Tech Guy show. From computers, the internet, iPods, and cell phones to camcorders, digital cameras, gaming systems, and home theaters, Leo speaks to the inner geek in all of us. Leo Laports has been airing occasionally on 970 WFLA. Now he'll be a regular feature on 1250 WHNZ.
Right after Laporte. it's CBS Eye on Veterans. It's a longform version of the daily Eye on Veterans feature heard weekday mornings on 1250 WHNZ, hosted by Chas Henry of the website connectingvets.com. Eye on Veterans, the show, runs Saturday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m.
Sunday mornings, This Weekend with Gordon Deal... the weekend version of our very successful This Morning with Gordon Deal show... moves to a new time at 6 a.m. At 9 a.m., the CATS Roundtable is a new show featuring interviews with some of the leading figures and minds in American business and politics. Dr. Hoffman pledges to give you "health information you need, to make informed choices so that you can safeguard yourself from medical mayhem and engage in enlightened self-care." If you're a fan of shows like "Let's Talk Nutrition," you might like these Sunday features.
