Tampa, Fl.(Florida News Network)- Detectives are searching for two suspects in an armed robbery that left a store employee shot in the leg. It happened Tuesday evening at the Walmart store on SR 64 E. in Manatee County. One suspect with a silver handgun attempted to rob the store, and after the employee refused to hand over any cash, shot the store manager in the leg. Detectives believe the suspects are responsible for two other robberies, earlier in the evening, including a Palmetto Publix and a Bradenton Family Dollar Store. The employee is in stable condition and is expected to recover. Surveillance cameras captured the suspects entering and leaving the store.
Suspect number one is a black male with an orange hat, white shirt, white shorts, white mask and black shoes, suspect two is a black male with a black long sleeve sweater, blue jeans, black shoes and a head cover with a white hat on top with the word “gators.”
