TAMPA -- Deputies are looking for a man who threatened a convenience store clerk at gunpoint and fired a gun inside.
Deputies say the man entered a Shell station on Lithia Pinecrest Road in Valrico late Saturday night. Video shows him behind the counter and grabbing a plastic container with rolled coins. He then pointed a gun at the clerk, and fired the gun at a shelf after getting the money, then ran out of the store and drove off on Lithia Pinecrest.
Sheriff Chad Chronister says they're looking hard for this suspect. "We can only imagine how frightened the clerk must have felt when he pointed a gun at her, and even more so when he fired a shot at a display shelf just a few feet away. Our deputies are working hard to identify this masked gunman and we urge anyone how has information that could help detectives, to please come forward and help us get this suspect off the streets."
