Socially Distanced Rays World Series Watch Party at St Pete Pier

ST. PETERSBURG -- Each night the Rays play in the World Series, Spa Beach in downtown St. Petersburg will host a limited admission, socially distanced watch party.

Park gates will open at 6 p.m. each night and 400 eight-by-eight foot pods will be available, with six people allowed in each wheelchair-accessible pod.

Guests should use Pier and Sundial Garage parking when possible. Normal rates will be in effect.

No outside alcoholic beverages are allowed.

St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman told reporters that he's "thrilled" that the Series coincides with the opening of the pier, because the setting allows for social distancing. If people feel the need to celebrate outside their pod, Kriseman says they should put on masks, and if they fist bump or bump elbows, they should use sanitizer afterwards.
