(Miami, FL) - The National Hurricane Center declaring an area of instability off Florida's east coast as Invest 93L.

Now computer models can run potential tropical disturbance tracks as it passes over Florida Peninsula this week. Much of the Florida peninsula will receive heavy rainfall, lightning, and some flooding as this system moves across the state.

Forecasters also note that a center of rotation is beginning to form.

According to the NHC, "An area of low pressure off the east Florida Peninsula coast (Invest #93L) now has a medium chance (30%2-day / 40%7-day) of becoming a tropical cyclone as it moves westward into northeastern portion of the Gulf."

Once in the Gulf, the NHC says there is a chance that it could develop further into Dexter.
