Invest 94-L continues gaining strength as it moves toward the SE Bahamas. It's likely to become a tropical depression today into the weekend.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami shows that Invest 94-L is producing heavy rains and gusty winds, posing a threat to the Dominican Republic, Haiti and the Turks and Caicos. The National Weather Service (NWSMiami) says that it's too early to tell what, if any, impacts to land areas of South Florida.
Humberto is now a Category 1 hurricane with, as of the latest 5:00 am advisory, 75 mph winds, and located some 400 miles NE of the Northern Leeward Islands.
Gabrielle is still producing hurricane-force wind gusts across the Central & Southeastern Azores. Dangerous storm surge is expected.
