SNL's Game Of Deal Or No Deal: The Government Shutdown Edition

The young and controversial New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (played here by Melissa Villasenor) made her debut on Saturday Night Live's cold-open this past weekend in a spoof game of "Deal or No Deal".

In the sketch, the cast members host a show of Deal or No Deal: Government Shutdown Edition, where Alec Baldwin's President Trump tries to win a deal with the Democrats and finally put an end to the shutdown.

“I want $5 billion for my border wall, and in exchange, I’ll extend DACA, and I’ll release the kids from cages so they can be free-range kids,” he says, after rejecting a deal from Congress.

Villasenor's Osacio-Cortez later presented her 'deal' to Trump, of course not missing a moment to comment on her notable social media accounts:

“Trump and the GOP are terrified of me because I’m under 100 and I know how to use Instagram,” she says.

But after saying no to multiple deals from Democrats, Trump finally accepted a deal from a Clemson player (played by Pete Davidson), because he offered him a briefcase of "hamberders".

The real shutdown however, is far from over. Monday morning began day 31 of the longest government shutdown in the history of the United States.
